Mortgage Company of Canada to Donate 750 Winter Coats to Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada
Toronto, March 5, 2018 – Mortgage Company of Canada (“the Company”), a Toronto-based Mortgage Investment Corporation, is proud to announce that it will donate 750 brand new winter coats to the head office of Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada in Toronto as part of its annual “Stay Warm” initiative.
The Stay Warm initiative was launched in 2015 to help underprivileged children deal with harsh winter weather in Canada. Under this program, the Company donated 100 coats in 2015, 200 coats in 2016, and 300 coats in 2017. This year’s donation will bring the total number of coats provided by Mortgage Company of Canada to 1,350. Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada is a national non-profit organization that provides safe, supportive places where children can form positive relationships and develop self-confidence and life skills.
“We believe that giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate than us is absolutely essential,” said Raj Babber, Founder and CEO of Mortgage Company of Canada. “We are extremely proud of our Stay Warm initiative. It will make a tangible difference in the lives of over a thousand young people, and we plan to donate an increasing number of coats every year.”
Any investors that are interested in participating in the Stay Warm program should contact Investor Relations by emailing investor.relations@mcoci.com. All donations need to be received by December 7. The Company will use all the funds provided by investors to purchase additional winter coats for Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada.
