MORTGAGE COMPANY OF CANADA DONATES 200 WINTER COATS TO BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS
Toronto, December 13, 2016 – Mortgage Company of Canada Inc., a Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC) based in Toronto, is pleased to announce that it has donated 200 brand new winter coats to the head office of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada in Toronto. The donation was made as part of the MIC’s annual “Stay Warm” initiative, which began last year.
The coats are being distributed to underprivileged youth across the Greater Toronto Area. The mission of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada is to provide a safe, supportive, and fun place where children can participate in quality programs and build positive relationships that promote self-confidence and healthy development.
“We at Mortgage Company of Canada believe it is essential to give back to our community and provide aid to those who are not as fortunate as us,” said Raj Babber, president, CEO and founder. “We are very pleased to make this donation, which will help young people withstand the harsh Canadian winter.”
Mortgage Company of Canada donated 100 coats in December 2015, the first year of the “Stay Warm” initiative. This year’s donation is twice as large and demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to Boys and Girls Clubs.
“As we look forward to the holiday season and reflect on how fortunate we are at Mortgage Company of Canada, we’re reminded that it is vital it is to always give hope to Canada’s struggling young people,” Babber said.
